If you like. I only have faint memories of the farm as a kid, but still have a bit of nostalgia for the romance of the time. Relics such as the wagon remind me of the serenity I felt then and that I’ve tried to keep in touch with since. I hope to share some sense of that through my paintings. I just like the wagon, it touches our history; also, I’ve lived my early years in the northwest and Alaska with plenty of snow. While I never want to shovel it again, I enjoy the snow and wanted to create a feeling of its clean appearance and the wonderful feeling of being in the cold while being warmly dressed or looking out the window from a warm room. Or, you can think of yourself stark naked, and freezing, standing there in the field wrestling with the barbed wire.
