One of my first somewhat ambitious attempts. This is the first, and what for me is one of only two large scale paintings. As a young architectural student, the grandeur of the stair caught my eye. Letting the shape spill out of the white background is a concept I’ve tried to let evolve and has become something I’ve incorporated into most of my drawings since. That, and the discovery that I could do this, makes the stairway a personal favorite.
